I have started an instagram page called Walking Copenhagen. I do not particularly enjoy sharing my life on Social Media, but I still want to share about how I experience my city.

This insta is not so much about the perfection of the photo, or the equipment I use. Most of the time it is just taking my cell phone out of my pocket. I have thousands of pictures, but I have never shared them before, I just want to share what I see and why I like this place so much.  Walking Copenhagen is about the city revealing itself when you’re not looking for anything in particular.

There is a particular kind of intimacy that surrounds a birthday party. I look for the glances exchanged between guests, the way a child leans into a parent’s side, the laughter that spills out during karaoke. This photoshoot of a 40th birthday celebration, is a study in those moments. The emotions that holds it together.

As a documentary photographer, I’m drawn to the quiet choreography of connection. This shoot, Forty Framed, unfolded not in grand gestures but in layered interactions: hugs that lingered, smiles shared mid-song, gifts opened with children leaning in close. Each frame is a fragment of a larger story—one of friendship, family, and the kind of joy that doesn’t need to be performed.

I took these photos in the Copenhagen Carnival of 2011. It was one of my first tries at documentary work. My friends of Caporales DK asked me to do it for their Facebook. I still look back at it often. It reminds me why I love taking pictures of people and joy.
These shots are old, but the feeling is still fresh. What started as quick, honest moments became my style. Now I focus on people, mood, and real life. I’m sharing this not to look back, but to show that I’ve always had an eye for stories.

This confirmation story is natural and heartfelt. It unfolds in real time, moving from the quiet emotions and reverence of the ceremony to the joyful moments of the party. Each image reveals something true—starting with reverent stillness and leading into warmth, laughter, and connection. Instead of stiff poses, the focus stays on genuine reactions: a father’s embrace, proud glances, and shared smiles. In the end, the images come together to tell a simple yet powerful story of faith, family, and love.

For this project, I collaborated with “Mom Reinvented”, a coaching business that works with women raising small children. The aim was to capture visuals that felt genuine, warm, and empowering — images that reflected the everyday challenges and strength of their audience.
I focused on using natural light and creating a relaxed atmosphere, which allowed for candid moments and a sense of authenticity in the photos. These images became a key part of the client’s website and Instagram, helping them connect with their community and tell their story in a way that felt both personal and professional.

    • Full-body portrait of a woman walking atop the hill at Den Sorte Plads in Copenhagen, her hair and dress lifted by the wind. Shot from ground level with open framing and rule-of-thirds composition, the image conveys assertiveness, empowerment, and self-confidence.

Defying Numbers is a portrait series created to celebrate a 50th birthday captured with elegance and style. Photographed at “Den Røde Plads” and “Den Sorte Plads” in Copenhagen, the images showcase a woman whose vibrant spirit and youthful energy shine through every frame. Dressed in strikingly fashionable style, she embodies confidence, sophistication, and individuality. With the city’s architecture softly blurred in the background, each portrait balances urban atmosphere with intimate storytelling. This series is not just a celebration of age but a tribute to timeless beauty, self-expression, and the art of embracing life’s chapters with grace.
